Contraindications for CCB

Conscious Connected Breathwork - breathing through the nose or mouth continuously in a cycle of breath without pause after the inhalation and exhalation - can have strong effects on the body and psyche. You can always consult with a health professional if CCB is safe for you to practice and we can always calibrate the technique to make it accessible for you.

  • Aneurysms

  • Asthma

  • Cardiovascular disease and/or irregularities including prior heart attack

  • Detached Retina

  • Epilepsy

  • Glaucoma

  • High Blood Pressure that is not controlled with medication

  • History of strokes or seizures

  • Osteoporosis

  • Pregnancy

  • Previous diagnosis of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or previous psychiatric illness

  • Hospitalization for any psychiatric condition or emotional crisis in past 10 years such as an attempted suicide or nervous breakdown.

  • Any other medical, psychiatric, or physical condition that interferes or would interfere with the ability to engage in activities that involve intense physical and/or emotional opening.
