What is Breathwork?

The term Breathwork comprises many different aspects of connecting consciously with the breath. Why would you even mind to connect with your breath? Let’s be honest, using your own breath for your physical and mental health is probably the most self-empowered way to care for your well-being.

Your breath connects the body and mind, it is the bridge between the emotional and the physical. No matter if you want to enhance your physicality or to balance your mental state - breathwork will always benefit your entire being.

Breath-Wellness

Did you ever ask yourself if you are breathing correctly? There is actually (almost) no such thing as that. Just that your “breath intention” is missing: does your body need activation or calming down? Breath-Wellness wants you to embody the vast possibilities of your breath: to use it as a power tool of regulation and of healing.

Breath-Wellness inspires you to understand and embody efficient and healthy breathing - while you face challenges in work, while you maneuver contraction waves when giving birth, while you need to be concentrated and focused, while you’re relaxing on the beach. All is possible, as long as you breathe.

Apropos - with our breath we are able to expand our life force. This is why Pranayama, the ancient yogic practice is also part of our offering in Breathe Beyond.

Conscious Connected Breathwork

Focuses on freeing the breath from the corset of unconscious thoughts and emotions. CCB helps to release emotional, stressful and traumatic burdens. It is the gate for personal transformation and accessing expanded states of consciousness.

The focus lies on the rhythmic, deep, softness of the connected breath- deeply inhaling, softly exhaling and without pause.

Please be aware that this form of Breathwork requires your physical and psychological stability, as deep trauma & emotions can come to the surface and/or strong physical reactions can be caused.

Freeing the Breath

Breathe Beyond is a gentle approach towards Breathwork. We also incorporate gentle and non-invasive inquiry during a Breathwork session. 

Inquiry

Inquiry supports the breather to gain clarity and a comprehensive understanding for traumatising and painful experiences. This includes the experiences of birth, childhood trauma like conflict with siblings, the loss of a grandparent, physical and emotional abuse or the refusal, say, of simply asking for some ice cream, to give just a few examples.

Body Work

We also use bodywork practices in our offline Breathwork sessions. The healing power of touch through pressure points and meridian activation helps to release blockages in the different layers of the body.
